A fitting is only as accurate as what you bring — these four things make sure your alterations are done right the first time.
The exact shoes you plan to wear.
The undergarments, shapewear, bra, or slip you will wear with it.
Any belt, petticoat, hoop skirt, or accessory that changes the fit.
The person wearing the garment 😃
Wear hair up so that the back of the garment is easily accessible.
A few small things that make a big difference for your appointment.
Wear easy-to-change clothing and avoid heavy makeup, self-tanner, lotions, or strong perfume that could transfer to the fabric.
Stand naturally and mention anything that feels off about the garment.
Walk, sit, raise your arms, and move the way you expect to at the event.Also bring any tights, socks, costume shoes, or specialty undergarments that go with the costume.
It is customary to arrive on time.
Cost of alterations will be due at final fitting.
